All classes will be recorded with a link to the recording sent out twice per week (on the dates listed). Live Q&A sessions will be scheduled on an as-needed basis for class participants. Educator and child care expert Carolyn Stulberg will be available via email throughout each session to answer any questions or clarify information for class participants. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion if they receive a passing grade on the final exam at the end of the session.

Topics include: Equipment, Terminology, Medical Personnel, Anatomy and Physiology of the Premature Infant, Heat Regulation, Feeding, Oxygen Needs, Gestational Age Guide, Premature Infant Differences, Transitioning to Home, Equipment Use, Adjustments from NICU, and Helping Parents/Siblings Transition to Home.

This 1 week class will provide an in-depth look at challenges encountered by the newborn care specialists in helping a new mother breastfeed her child.
Practical solutions will be given to specific challenges: not making enough milk, not trusting her breasts, anxiety about returning to work, pumping and keeping up milk supply, sores, cracks, ineffective latch
